Well we've been pretty busy the last few weeks. Pen and I bought a flat and have spent quite a bit of time over there as it needs a lot of work. A lot of work. The flat's got it's own blog here http://penscott.blogspot.com/ in case you want to see how much work is a lot of work.
We also had Pen's pal Big Al over from Oz, unfortunately no photo's of Al! Al Penny and I went to dinner and hung out in the evenings for the 3 nights he was here, and during the day he wandered about Glasgow and Stirling spending all his money on tacky tourist stuff...but hey, that's what you do when you're a tourist!
Then the day after Al left, we had my brother Jason stay with us for a couple of weeks (he's in Switzerland at the mo). It was good to have them here...the more the merrier! Jay and I did quite a bit of biking and he genuinely seemed to like the biking here which is cool. Not many photo's of Jay, but a few. We did get down south to Dalbeattie and Kiroughtree to do some biking and camping with some mates over a weekend, bad weather, good laugh, and great trails! You can see Josephs video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDCJWTUmic0
Big Dereck Bozman took Jay and I through some caves he and a mate had found....and although there were some minor doubts about wandering around in caves we don't know, with piddly little torches, and 45 mins of light from Derecks bike light....it was fun! No real amazing finds although I did almost step into the furry remains of a deid rabbit. Not surprisingly I smelt it before I found it.
Penny Jay and I went to a live music night in one of our local pubs here in Stirling where we met a Canadian gal who plays the fiddle. Jay had a chat with her and may very well go along for a wee Celtic jam session when he gets back from Switzerland. Speaking of which he arrives tonight and tomorrow is our last day together as Penny and I go to Prague and he'll be gone by the time I get back! So suitably, we should manage to get one last bike ride in!
Our campsite in Dalbeattie, we were a 5 min cycle to the trails..awesome!
Equipment sorted
